It's been one of those days, I will sort it out, bascally new Young dac, with variable analogue out and inbuilt properly dithered digital attenuator, with remote , the remote also advances tracks etc, and it is DSD capable, and I believe the price is going to be similar to the old Young so really good value.

How much is that "really good value" ?

Dave Hi, the SRP of the last Young was £900, the price of the new Young hasn't been confirmed but I am hopeful it will be around the same price.
The variable analogue output means it can be used as a dac or as a preamp straight into your power amps, the remote as well as attenuating volume will also be able to pause ,forward ,sto ptracks played from your computer.
It will play natively every resoution of PCM and is DSd capable.

Looks good :)
Twice as heavy as the old Young, a good sign.
Specs slightly better.

Look fwd to the first reviews.

Keith is the volume control in the analogue or digital domain? I'd be keen to hear this the only reason I went to the Mdac was the volume control.

Looks nice, luckily for me it looks like it takes a 15V DC wall wart!

The original was very good but quickly lost ground to better sounding dac's, I think this one will put them back at the top.

Did it!
The Young remains a superb sounding dac, the new Young adds some really interesting features though!

The Mdac certainly didn't sound better, barely sounded any different at all. It just had volume. That's what the Young lost out on functionality, there's a price to being first...

The new one's remote can select tracks, play pause etc as well as control volume ,inputs etc!
