Hi,

This is the fourth Tube/Dac I've built.
I've kept one and I'm offering this one for sale, to fund a new project.

This uses the top of the range CS4398 chip with CS8416 receiver chip powered by three individual power supplies.
The output from the CS4398 is taken directly via Mundorf capacitors to the grid of the 6n1p,E88cc or 6922.
Output from the tube is coupled again using Mundorf quality capacitors.
Separate transfomers: HT has its own with a 120vac for dac and tube heaters, ez80 tube rectified, 2 X 180uf splits into 100uf per tube, DC regulated heater supply, has Optical input and coax via switch.
Wired with a star earth arangement. very quite in operation.
Non ferrous case in 3mm translucent acrylic with clear 5mm base and mahogany side cheeks.
If you require a volume control I can add an Alps blue so you can run this direct into the power amp.

A most excellent sound, has replaced some respected Hi-End hifi.

£250 ono

So if you have a CD Transport its well worth the effort
