Superbly effective and affordable LP washing gadget that is very effective at removing unwanted muck from your LPs. I have tried this on my own collection and was really impressed with the results. Its a bargain compared with the faff and cost of a full blown RCM and comes highly recommended:

I'd be interested to know what the solution is. I used to have one that was very similar and all the records I tried to clean, ended up with an obvious 'water' mark and you could hear the stylus tracking through it.

I ended up transferring the LPs to CD played wet. As soon as they dried though, the problem returned. I still pick one up occasionally and the swishing is very annoying.

Maybe they fixed the problem?

the Spin Clean wont leave any residue so you don't get that problem. The solution has been specially developed to dissolve the muck and the cloths provided (although micro-fibre cloths can be used as well) ensure that the surface is effectively dried. the solvent parts of the solution will simply evaporate off without leaving any residue. I've cleaned over a dozen LPs with it now and they come up with a lovely clean surface sheen and no residue.

I don't know which one you had, but as you point out, it wasn't the Spin Clean (Disco Anti-Stat perhaps?)
