When the missus gets the decorations out in the next few weeks I'll have a look. I know we've got some old stuff, but not sure what. It's all boxed up in the loft at the moment.

Lol, dude. Quality! This is another area we agree on. Look at the vibrant colours and design of those baubles... Modern decorations just aren't the same, for the very same reasons we were discussing on the book thread ;)
We've got some antique baubles, but we're keeping ours. I'd have thought that ebay was your friend? :)
Marco.
P.S if you ever get a chance to visit Luxembourg - that's where you'll find stacks of them....

Hi Marco
Aye..
I got a few boxes of early 60's Baubles off Auction but 20% got smashed, but to be expected really..
I know something we won't agree on & that is Aluminium trees :rfl:
On the contrary, I think it looks really cool - and also rather original. However, I do prefer real Christmas trees :)

I once worked on a show called crackers over christmas, they had a tree made from umbrellas ( with the cover/skin taken off), they were cut and stacked in different sizes on top of each other ,and looked strangely strange, but oddly normal. I liked it.
We use a branch from one of the trees in the garden, it has many small branches coming off it,about 5' tall. Painted white, no baubles, but old bits of sparkle jewellery, ice lights and a few small Robins (old bird props), amongst other things.

Did not think you would approve of a 1960's Aluminium tree!
Well, I often like things that are different from the norm ;)

Indeed. That's why I don't have a Technics turntable!

Well, Joe, some of us are born to lead, and the others merely to follow.... ;)
