Hi everyone,

I have a confession to make that I have been reading the AOS threads for a while now so I thought I should introduce myself to sort of become errr legitimate:newbie:
I have been into HiFi since I was a kid which is more years ago than I would care to remember and had a short period in the industry where I met DSJR and other good friends :) I still feel I have a lot to learn in this hobby or obsession as 'er indoors might say:whistle:

I'm into pretty much most types of music except folk but have noticed with advancing years my tastes are changing away from the prog rock stuff towards more blues, jazz and classical.

I have a pretty modest rig by some of the exalted standards on AOS. Analogue source: Rega RP1 with Edwards Audio TT-AP acrylic platter and Dynavector 10X5 and Rega Carbon (standby, pretty good too). Digital Source: Rega Apollo R: Amps: Croft Micro 25 Basic Phono and Croft Series 7 and Rega Brio R and an Amcron D60: Speakers: Stirling Broadcast MS-88s (Rogers 60th Anniversary LS3/5a clone with crossover tweaked by Derek Hughes):Equipment Support: Something Solid stands:Speaker Support: Something Solid SL24 stands.Interconnects: Linn Blacks: Speaker cables: Talk 3.

Thanks Chris for the welcome. Much appreciated.:) Yes it can sound pretty decent but I think it can still be improved so am thinking about some Mark Grant interconnects and a good but affordable highish output MM cartridge :scratch: (any recommendations?) as the 10X5 doesn't seem to drive the Brio R phono input (which is for family use, as it is fine through the Croft Micro 25 Phono) well enough.

I'd start a new thread in the appropriate section - you'll have plenty of help there, I'm sure. AoS members love nothing more than helping each other spend their hard-earned!
Analogue Art (http://theartofsound.net/forum/forumdisplay.php?4-Analogue-Art) would be the place to start the thread.

By the way, there are a few W. Sussex members - someone joined just the other day actually. I told him that I'm a Steyning lad, but got lost on my way home one day!
