I have for sale or trade a pair of ended 211 monoblocks. Got these from Enbee 23 recently. Had a few hum problems which were resolved by Valvebloke, who fixed the hum issue (was a wrongly configured earth) who measured them as delivering a full 25w output in Class A. UK spect 240v. These are real he-man single ended amps, original thread here (http://www.hifiwigwam.com/showthread.php?54451-F-S-MP-211a-Valve-Monoblocks-211-single-ended-25w), ideal for less-sensitive speakers where a 9w single-ended 300b won’t deliver that single-ended magic.
I have been using them in bi-amp configuration on the 2in compression driver of my 15in Monitor Gold Tannoy Autographs (98db). What I’m looking for in trade is an integrated amplifier, possibly 2A3 or 300b but other considered, or a pair of monoblocks with volume control, to give me more flexibility about how I manage passive bi-amping.
I paid £795 shipped for them which is what I want in return in a cash deal, however I’d probably prefer a swap for an integrated or pair of monoblocks as described above, with cash adjustment up or down as appropriate. The only other thing I’m in need of is a 12in tonearm.
They are really nice amps with more than enough power to drive modestly sensitive speakers of 88db and above.
Prefer collection from Berkshire or meet up somewhere upper M3/eastern M4/s western M25/lower M40 though I do have the boxes, double boxes for the amps and a separate box for the valves.
