Can't believe I registered more than a year ago and never got round to introducing myself. How rude!
After more years and £ than I care to remember I currently have an OK ish system, albeit a bit of a mish mash!
Source: currently streaming lossless files files from my NAS through a MyGica 510b streamer on XBMC.
Turntable: Systemdek II (the biscuit tin!) to be honest, rarely used, but looks cool
Pre/procesor: Rotel RSP 1069 (been a big fan of Rotel since my very first Rotel integrated more than 30 years ago)
Power amp: using the power amp section of a massive Yamah DSPAX1 receiver. Looking at changing this.
Main Speakers: front pair of Monitor Audio GS10s. Unfortunately not sited well – one on top of a low cupboard, the other on a desk surface...alas I have little choice. May look into wall mounting.
Other speakers: I have Wharfedale Diamonds for rears and centres. I’m not really bothered about sound quality in this mode. However, I will confess to enjoying Pro Logic 2 Music mode occasionally, with centre width set wide so that the centre virtually vanishes and only modest output to the rears.
Music tastes: Rush, Tull, The Who, early Genesis, Yes, Floyd, Waters, Gabriel, Marillion. You get the idea.
