I have a Brother DCP-9045CDN colour laser scanner copier with full duplex which I am TOTALLY dependant on for business. It was bought second hand on t'bay, has some 3rd party toner cartridges, is long out of warranty. It developed a fault - and wouldn't auto select paper from the multi-purpose tray.
I contacted Brother, first via email, then by phone. Now this was FREE support for an old(ish) product. I got through reasonably quickly to English speaking support staff, who tried 3 or 4 options via callbacks and emails, new driver downloads, firmware updates and the like. All free. All courteous helpful english speaking support.
They couldn't fix it, and escalated it to their next stage of support. So, I am now expecting, not unreasonably, a bill. Nope - via phone coaching which probably took half an hour, still ABSOLUTELY FREE, the problem has been fixed.
I cannot recommend Brother highly enough. I know which printer brand I will replace this one with when it eventually becomes necessary
