Hi Guys,
Numptie but fairly simple question for you this time. I'm playing a bit more vinyl lately since I got my Class A monoblocks and decided it might be better if I got my (standard) Techie tonearm nearer to the recommended horizontal (parallel to the platter) - at the moment it is high at the pivot end so the whole arm assembly needs to be lowered by 5mm max. Short of using a Stilson pipe wrench on it :lol: I cannot get it to move (turn) in either direction. I've searched for a locking screw (not the little lever, which makes no difference to it's reluctance to move).
So, what am I missing? In the past I seem to recall rotating the knurled collar clockwise or anti-clockwise to lower and raise it without much trouble but now it seems to be locked solid - anybody any thoughts?
