Just heard the sad news that Lou Reed has just died RIP

I should write a full obit for Musicosis.co.uk, but frankly the news that Lou Reed has died at only 71 has left me too distraught. A great musician and performer and a part of my personal musical journey that started in the 60s. Another personal hero takes the final Walk On The Wild Side and rock and all music is the weaker for it. RIP Lou, only perfect days for you from now on I hope. Now there's a man who loved a transformer :)

Indeed... Lou represented and drove art and music through androgenic performances that was way ahead of their time.

I saw him with the velvets in London in 93 was it?.. I can't remember but they were great... His New York album was one of the best albums I had in the 90's. And it was at that point when I discovered Berlin.

Oh my god, I have just heard the news, how sad to see Lou Reed move on to pastures new... RIP :(

Sad news indeed as another important part of music and artistic history passes. I must confess to not really getting Lou's music but I understand fully his pivotal role in the development of so many genre's and his passing closes another chapter of the iconic/foundational 60's. Sad day.

This artist’s view on the world was illuminated by halogen lamps, but not candles. This enabled him to discover blooming flowers even in New York’s darkest cellars.
