'HiFi' fan since the early 1970s. Started off with a B&O 3000-2/ Beomaster 3000/Mordaunt Short MS400s.
Graduated quickly to a Linn Sondek LP12 (S/N 108!) SME3009 SII Imp/Shure V15III. Sold the MS400 to ex-wife and bought pair of Kef Reference 104aBs in 1976. I still have all of the above, and all are still used and in mint condition.
Over the years, added a Nakamichi 582 cassette deck, two Beomaster 4000s, a complete B&O 6500 system, a pair of smaller Mordaunt Shorts and a further LP12/SME3009/Shure V15, this time a V15vxMR.
Listen to music two or three hours most evenings, predominantly Folk/Rock but with a goodly amount of Dylan,
Baez, Cohen, Springsteen et al. I also enjoy 'lightweight' classical music, particularly Mozart.
Other interests, apart from my family, include collecting single malts, gardening, foreign travel and Ferrari.
I hope to find many like-minded souls out there and look forward to reading the topics in the forum.
