I have enjoyed listening to this rather brilliant Leanard Cohen song from Jennifer's Famous Blue Raincoat album for many years. However, i am a little embarassed to say that i don't know what it is about. Can anyone enlighten me?:scratch:

ie: The Red Army Faction group created in West Germany by far left extremists...

but then it goes further... Like all poetry, you won't be able to pin a final meaning to the whole thing...

As an aside, the 20th Anniversary reissue of Famous Blue Raincoat is one of the best mastered CDs I know. Bernie Grundman, no less. Outstanding sound quality.

CD mastering by bernie grundman is superb but his all tube vinyl master on 3x45rpm box set version is ever better
Mind you never heard anything by Miss Warnes that does not sound superb

You need to hear the 3 disc 45 rpm vinyl edition. (Cisco).

I also have the rare Classic Records (10th Anniv) which was quickly withdrawn after Jenny threw a wobbly.

Never heard that one martin , only versions i have of FBR
UK 1st pressing on vinyl , bernie grunman mastered 24karat CD Impex as you say superb sounds more like a Sacd than a CD & the Cisco 3x45rpm all tube mastered

On a more humorous note, a Australian political commemtator, Mungo McCallum, met Leonard Cohen on a Greek commune and described him as "a man who worried incessantly about the quality of his orgasms". One can only wonder...
