FS: Quad ESL63s

Listing these on behalf of a friend. He has owned these speakers from new and they are in very good condition. There are a few tiny tears in the cloth socks that cover the panel. They're the natural wood finish with brown socks. He's based in North London and collection would be much preferred, although mutual meetup within a reasonable distance could be arranged.

One treble panel on each speaker was replaced with refurbished panels from One Thing Audio several months ago and they have been running perfectly since then.

He would like £500 for these.

Get a good working pair off the floor, preferably on solid stands like the old Arcici models which held the frame solidly), tilt 'em back if you need to (flattens the on-axis slightly downtilted response in the domestic models) and I promise you they'll blow 57's and a hell of a lot of boxes away. Set 'em up as Quad used to in their bad old days and they'll bore you to death with a muffled and boring balance!
