I have a pair of the Victor SX 7 Loudspeakers which until quite recently were my main loudspeakers.

They're very nice indeed - not what you'd call a refined sound but absolutely fabulous with rock, reggae and dance music which really worked for me. Nice deep and controlled bass and you could prat about with the mids and tops to get the sound just so.
I didn't do anything with them but I imagine they could do with a bit of fettling now. I still have them up stairs as it happens...
They saw of a good number of modern speakers we had through the house including Celestions A1s (in hindsight this was a mistake), some Audio Physic and a few others that slip my mind.
Should add that my stands by Red Wine made all the difference.

STANDS BY RED WINE !!....Great idea to throw it down your neck... MAN SHALL NOT LIVE WITHOUT SPEAKER STANDS.
