This is Peter from the great land of AUSTRALIA.Hope everyone is well and up and about and feeling fine.At age 50 or so i had an unexplainable urge/desire to delve into the great sound of the golden era of Audio Manufactures circa 1970/80 in the hope of creating a system that would entertain the wife and i in our impending retirement. For no reason other than Chance/Circumstance/The Audio GODS Willed, that i would become a VICTORHEAD ....Thus i find myself surrounded by these beautiful VICTOR AUDIO COMPONENTS....The Main System consisting of QL-7 TURNTABLE..XL-Z999EX CDP..P-L10 PREAMPLIFIER..M-L10 POWER AMPLIFIER..ZERO-1000 SPEAKERS...and now i'm set for the 'down hill run'..audiophoniclly. Great to meet YOU All,peter

Cheers john,it's good to be on board, and i look forward to some learned times, peter.
Welcome!
I am however ashamed to say that i do not have a clue what the Victor brand means... But on the other hand, thats a great opportunity for you to show me some of the stuff in a new Gallery-thread? ;)
What kinda music gets you and the missus up and dancing then?
Best regards from the (now) very dark and cold north!
/Mike (in Sweden)
Edit:
I figured it out! What you call Victor, i would call JVC!
Knew it was familiar!
Share your appreciation of vintage equipment, by the way. Have too many Luxman Amps and Tuners! :)
Hi Peter and welcome to the forum :)

I Import my gear directly from japan. All Inn house Japanese Victor 100 v. components.I discovered very early in my research there could be significant differences in manufacturing standards, specs, presentation etc. between the Japanese Victor AND THE EXPORT JVC models.Often the top models were never released outside of japan, peter
