I had a pair of their cheaper brethran the 752 and found them to be a little more musical. The 753 are very good as long as you put plenty of power behind them. I remember the 753 sounded great with Audiolab amps.

I'm running with a pair of old 753s fed by a pair of Audiolab 8000 amps (P & SX), and for ported speakers they are excellent IMHO. I have replaced all the drivers with Monacore ones, due to a couple of the original ones packing up, and they're even better now.

I've not heard the 754s, but they look very similar to the 752s, which I remember demoing at the time I bought my 753s, and it was a very tough choice, as the 752s were very detailed, it was probably the extra bass of the 753s that eventually swayed me...but that all depends on the type of music you're into...

Hi, They are effectively a taller 752 Freedom with the addition of a downward firing bass driver. I love the 752 Freedoms which I have had a good while, detailed and nicely balanced, ever so slightly in the box presentation which makes them non fatiguing. I can only imagine that the addition of this bass driver in the 754 will mean more bass which I've been told is the case. They are tall as i say and look like they will need a decent size room to get the best. I've always liked the look of them thats for sure. They were the flagship at the time.
