Has anybody heard Art Skibo with the bass unit/stand speakers? Any reviews and info would be great .

Ok but isnt that the point to have a neutral sounding hifi otherwise the sound we get will be coloured and toned up by everything otherwise it will be away from the original sound? To get as near to the band or recoding studio sound? Or am i wrong in thinking that?

Yes totally agree David, so if there is a nice digital source or Turntable a valve amp and revealing speakers wouldnt that balance out?

Depends what you mean by "revealing". So many modern speakers are bright, thin, flat and in yer face - that could be "revealing" but is not correct.

Exactly that yes thin bright and nasty seems to be a trend with modern speakers,so if you run modern speakers with a fully blown valve amp wouldnt mellow the speakers out to create a happy medium?
