Here I am. A Kiwi living in Aotearoa where EVERYONE follows the New Zealand Warriors.
Not me though...
Here I am following a founding club of the NSW Rugby League since I was nipper running round the muddy paddocks of the upper Waikato in the early seventies. Tuurangawaiwai, Ngaaruawahia, Kirikiriroa, and my home ground Davies Park in Huntly. Huntly South Rugby League Club.
A town where the sound of miners riding their pushbikes down the street in the morning was unforgettable.
A town where one can smell coal fires burning year round. Even though it ain't that cold...
A town where everyone new (of) everyone and behaved accordingly.
A town I miss even after thirty odd years, but as they say...you can't go back cause it's not there anymore.
Still...I'm a League man...:)
