I bought this DAC a few months ago on the strength of comments made in this AOS thread here (http://theartofsound.net/forum/showthread.php?26301-Non-oversampling-DAC-TD1543-DIR9001&highlight=mini+tda1543). I have been using it since then and comparing it with the output from my AN DAC Zero. While it's very good for detail and sounds very musical the DAC Zero sounds better to my ears. I would keep it but need the money to try the new Bushmaster Mk2, so it's up for sale.

I'd like £100 plus postage for it. Here (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Non-Oversampling-DAC-TDA1543-DIR9001-96kHz-SPDIF-Coax-Optical-9V-NiMH-charger-/200969052588?pt=UK_Sound_Vision_Other&hash=item2ecab061ac#ht_2962wt_1122) is the link to the manufacturer's ebay page for further information. The DAC is in "as new" condition and will be mailed in its original packaging.

Bernie,
My son inherited mine when I bought the BM2......he loves it just using a berringer uc202 to convert his lap top usb to optical , cheapo 5m optical from amazon sounds great.....outperformed his dac magic. Im still jealous you bagged that Dac zero......best of luck with the sale..

Thanks Tony. Yep, it still does surprise me at times. Currently connected between my Touch and Dared valve amp, driving a set of Ditton 44s. Sounds rather nice to my ears! :)
