Sunday bump...

Even though I have lots of watchers on eBay and had a couple of silly offers the Oto is still available

Removed from sale for the moment. I just can't quite bring myself to sell it so I'm glad I didn't get a decent offer on eBay ...phew

Hi Mauro
I still have the Oto but as I now have a 300b amp the Oto might come up for sale again in the near future.... are you in any rush to buy one ? as I won't decide to part with it until I am certain about the 300b which might take me a few weeks 'ish...

I have lived with the Oto very happily for the last few years since putting it back into the system it is a superb amp and mine is in totally mint condition, boxed etc and the slightly later version

Hi,
I've just bought a pair of used Audio Note AN-J and I've found them awesome!
I'm driving them with a Croft phono integrated, but I think the OTO would be the natural partner.
Does your OTO have the phono stage embedded?
Many thanks
Mauro

Hi Mauro
My Oto is the line only version so no phono stage..

Yes the AN-J's would be perfect with an Oto...

I had a trial of a Croft integrated (line only version) and to be honest I was not impressed at all, well not against the Oto anyway. The Oto was head and shoulders above the Croft amp which I guess is not surprising considering the price difference when new

However I must add that I think the Croft is superb value for money and I can't think of a better amp for the price, it is just not a match at all to the Oto in my experience and in my room :)

Unfortunately the vinyl is my main source....
so in case I need to think to an external phono stage, maybe the Croft itself.
Please, let me know (in private if you prefer) how much do you want for your OTO line, if it could be shipped (I live in West London), if you have any picture, etc.
Many thanks.
Mauro

Yes, this is good....

I like to see the platter/arm run during the listening....and the listening is in general much enjoyable (imho).

I only listen to the CD Player when titles are not available on vinyl, such as for the neo-prog releases.

It is beautiful to see the reels turn as well....:D

My first R2R was a Grundig TK148 in the 1965, when I was 4....(it belonged to my sister actually).

I still have a 1973 Revox A77, bought when I was 12.
Unfortunately it needs a service.

I loved the smell of the tape....
