How do I remove "ad choices" in Outlook??

This miserable thing that appears to be "Microsoft ad choices" has appeared in Outlook and it's taking up so much screen real estate that I can't see the message header for my emails. Well done Microsoft! - put out a piece of crap that effectively makes your program useless. I can't get rid of it and can't find an online help to remove it that works.
Anyone know how to remove this thing? Anyone know what the hell Microsoft is thinking putting this out?
