Hi. How easy/difficult is it to replace the headshell leads in an SME V. I only ask as I would like to know if the leads can be 'upgraded' from the standard fitment.
Cheers
John
l have upgraded my SME V headshell wires, once for SME's own Silver jobbies and they are very big, flexible and tough, and improved the sound being very smooth and full, but some how when l moved one got broken  so, on Marco's advice brought some Ortofon LW-7N Copper jobbies and these seem to work really well, being refined and smooth and reasonably priced.:)

the VDH detachable tags set i have in stock is a good upgrade over the standard detachable tags

but consider having the head shell wires fixed onto some new internal wire like the cardas 33ga ofc copper litz or even the silver internal wire...this makes a much bigger improvement
hope that helps any questions please just ask
