This crossover was built for montesquieu by Nick Gorham from this highly regarded circuit (http://www.hilberink.nl/codehans/tannoy86.htm) and was later improved with upgraded op-amps and power supply regulation.

My camera is on loan to a friend so I don't have any fresh pics of my own but here is a pic of the innards before any improvements:

The casing is black anodised aluminium, 30cm x 24cm x 10cm. On the rear are a switched and fused IEC mains inlet, one stereo pair of line level inputs and left HF, left LF, right HF, right LF line level outputs which are all gold plated RCA sockets. Levels are adjusted inside the unit. Condition is very good apart from one ding on the top left rear corner: invisible from the front and has no effect on function.

This cost well over £500 to have built and is the only one of its kind.
I paid the asking price when I bought it and the price is the same now: £350 plus insured shipping.

Just a small point, but you haven't told us how it sounds. As a Tannoy owner I'm interested.

The box allows your existing Tannoys to sound "more" and better", if you see what I mean. Specifically, I found enhanced clarity throughout the frequency range and the midrange area was smoother. All the Tannoy plusses of scale, weight, ease and presence etc etc were enhanced and the occasional coarse-grainedness of the "Tannoy sound" was reduced. It's a cracker! HTH :)

Some very useful info from Tom on this here (http://www.hifiwigwam.com/showthread.php?92780-FS-Active-Crossover-for-Tannoys).

So far Geoff has only asked the question in the thread so the crossover is all yours. PM coming your way.

I see what you mean! Must admit that I had read his comment as him being interested in how the thing sounds rather than in buying it.

I'll send him a PM. If he doesn't want it, you're up! Kudos for not just jumping in

The one and only.

My favorite pilot of that time ! I saw him in Zolder in 1979 .
