I'd like to say hello to all forum members. I'm Ronald Tichelaar, living in the Netherlands, in a village called Ens in the Northeastern-polders.

I came across the Art of Sound forum 3 years ago when I was looking for reviews of the Beresford Caiman DAC and have been lurking around here since.

Yesterday I ordered the Beresford Bushmaster MK2 and thought it was time to join the forum and contribute if I can.

In 1995 I bought my first audio-set, a Harman Kardon AVI 150 amplifier, CD player and a set of JBL LX 750 speakers. In 2010 I purchased the Caiman and upgraded it in 2012 with a Gator board. I realized that my amplifier and speakers were the weakest link in my set so after 15 years I decided to replace my amp and speakers. Speakers firs, after reading lots of reviews I decided to go for A set of second hand set of Millon Cobra III floor standing speakers. The Millon's are build by a small dutch company and sound crisp and detailed and are regarded very high quality. Next up was the amplifier. I was looking for class A, AB or tube amp but didn't have much to spend. Tube was out of the question because of the price, even second hand. What I wanted in the amp was a simple design, clean and short audio path, the purest sound possible, high detailed and uncolored. Finally I found a second hand Audioanalyse PA 90, 25 years old french design. Spend most of it's time on the attic in the original box. Love the sound of this set.

More about myself:
I love bands like Radiohead, Dire Straights, Steven Wilson, Porcupine Tree, 16 Horsepower, Pearl Jam, Nico Case etc.
I love beer, especially those from Belgium, good food, seafood, cheese, running

Hope to see you around on the forum.

Ronald.

Ahh,

Belgian beer:) so many happy memories.

I used to have an interior design company and a couple of times a year, we would drive over to Belgium and try and sell our services to hotels. It became a standard thing the the hotel owners would 'introduce' us to just about every beer they carried. As you know, there are a great many varieties of Belgian beer:eek:

I still can't remember a considerable portion of the time we spent there but I know we always came back with good orders somehow.

Anyway, welcome to the forum.
