Hello all,

I've just recently joined the Art of Sound and this is my first post. I've been listening to and enjoying music since my early teens and have always had a music system of some kind. My first stereo was a Sanyo turntable in shiny black with combined tape player and am/fm radio that I proudly bought from the local K-Mart for about 250$, which is a lot of money when you're 16.

My most recent system is a Rega Apollo-R CD player, Burson Audio HA-160 headphone amp, a recently purchased Beresford Bushmaster MK-11 DAC and Beyerdynamic T1 headphones. The system produces a beautifully detailed and warm sound. My music tastes are pretty eclectic I guess. I like traditional and avant garde classical music and alternative music, mostly - I have a soft spot for Beatles, Beach Boys and Rolling Stones as well. My most recent purchases in the past few months have been Godspeed You Black Emperor, The Swans, Chelsea Wolfe, Vampire Weekend, Foxygen, MGMT, Phillip Glass, Gustav Mahler, Caitlin Rose, The National, Nirvana's In Utero (remastered), DJ Shadow, Spiritualized and Yo La Tengo.

I enjoy watching but don't always agrees with the needledrop music reviews on youtube that features Anthony Fantano and his appalling, very funny and grammatically challenged flat mate/alter ego Cal Cuchesta.

Anyway, that's me. Hope to contribute to some posts soon.
