Hi,
I have built 3 of these. I'm keeping one and offering the one for sale to fund some more projects.
Basically a TDA1543 NOS Dac with 4 chips in parallel coupled to the 6n3p-dr dual triode configured in SRPP with diode constant current cathode arrangment, this outputs to a stepped attenuator made up of SMT resistors like a DACT.
Separate transfomers: 60vac toroidal for dac, ez80 tube rectified, 2 X 220uf splits into 68uf per tube, DC regulated heater supply,has Optical input and Coax.
Very quite no hum even on the Tannoy Canturburys pictured in the logo above.
Has an earth lift switch fitted for those situations where the power amp is earthed.
Dac has it's own seperate power supplies on its board.
Non ferrous case in copper with aluminium base and oak side cheeks.
A most excellent sound, has replaced some respected Hi-End hifi.
£250 ono (replaces your dac and pre-amp)
