He is very good, but for me like so many other similar guitarist its more style over substance. I can appreciate his talent, but would never buy / listen to any of his recordings. Many times i have viewed some amazing guitarist on tv/ you tube, bought a CD and end up playing once or twice due to it just being , well to be honest ' boring'.

Yes - I've thought that before. No - really. Of course - some smart-alec then suggests that I am not precluded from buying nylon strings.

I used to go with "my fingers are too short" too, until someone pointed out the chord I was struggling with was a B major - being played by that famous long-fingered body builder, Katie Melua.

Yes, stunning talent, but the piece lack enough coherence (?) to be able to be played again and again.
It's like a standalone piece of craftsmanship. Great piece of art you would not want in your home
A view on Youtube, maybe 2 or 3 and that's probably all you want.
Whereas some albums you just want to put back on as soon as they finish
This helps me in my quest to find out what 'it' is in an album I really like

I went onto Bandcamp and downloaded the "Live At The Odeon" album. Sounds good on the laptop, and it's a 16/48 FLAC to boot. Will play it on the main system at the weekend.
