I'm a music and hi-fi enthusiast based in Staffordshire. I've recently moved to a streaming solution and am perfectly happy for 90% of the time listening to Spotify Premium as my music source.

My system is a modest one compared to some, I have an airport express for Spotify feeding a Teac dac into an exposure super xx integrated amp with my pride and joy a pair of Impulse H2 speakers.

My aim is to get the best I can out of the Impulse's and I'm canvassing for advice on different amps.

I'm also keen to hear other member's musical recommendations and perhaps subscribe to their Spotify playlists. My own tastes are wide but not particularly adventurous. I love the likes of Steely Dan, Little Feat, Ry Cooder and The Band as well as quality pop.

I hope we get to know each other a little better over the coming months.

Chris

If you like Steely Dan try Walter Becker's solo stuff. His last album Circus Money is great IMO (it's on Spotify - I think) and it's clear to see where SD got their reggae influence from (Haitian Divorce). 11 Tracks of Whack ain't bad either.

Welcome.

Rob.

Hi Chris and welcome to the forum. Have you thought about adding a Exposure XVIII power amp to you integrated to power the speakers?

You'll find adding a Power amp makes a ton of difference :)

Hi, Chris and welcome. Great speakers :)

I really like Audio Innovations with Impulses. My mate had a pair of H2s which I wish I'd bought. AI Series 500 is probably the biggest bargain and worked well with H7 H6 and Lalis. Puresound A30 was gorgeous too.

A system with wonderful H2s will never be "modest" IMO and I bet your kit will sound incredible now ;)

Hi Chris and welcome to the forum. Paul's (pjdowns) advice is top notch, look for an Exposure XVIII power amp to really get things swinging. Nice system btw :)
