I had Steve come over with his Fugul 3. It took awhile to find the right position for the speakers but when we did I really enjoyed them. These speakers have no right to be so open and dynamic I have no idea how speakers this small can give you the scale they do. I wasn't missing the Open baffles which would be the biggest compliment I could give them. Very well balanced
We playing around with HD and I now used 4 different HD and each alter the sound. I know idea what happening. The best sounds are from Steve HD and my USB sticks, but if I use the other the sound either becomes harsh or dark with a loss of crispness. I cannot figure it out but interesting. ( Sorry I know this sounds weird but cannot dent what I am hearing and the effect is repeatble)
Steve when you get a chance can you pm me the make of your hard drive as my electric powered one just sounds wrong

My HD is a Buffalo 1T which is no longer made. I suggested it may be the Wireworld usb combination, but to be honest I didn't hear the kind of difference you describe when I added it. Could it be the power supplies?

I have a burning need to know which Dhafer Youssef track we were using?

The conclusion when we swapped our speaker cables was interesting. Each made our own combination sing and made the other plain wrong. 86db versus 96db?

Yes that was really strange I guess both speakers respond to different wiring
On my portable external HD its adds a but of edge to the top end we did not really play round with it to much at the time but certainly thier. On my electrical powered HD just sounds bad (tried when I got nack from the pub). On USB memory sticks no issue. I cannot figure out why but cannot listen this way. Anyway good fun
