Time has come for me to upgrade my cabs for my 15" monitor gold drivers. I've been doing a little reading around the net which has made me a little indecisive as to which version of the cab to purchase. Some areas of the net have exposed the designs flaws of the originals and recommended upgrades and new designs whilst others extol the virtues of the old cabs and recommend nothing else. I've been offered a pair of original cabs restored for 1k which I think is a little on the high side and could probably get some made for far less with a decent cabinet maker. So the question is do I buy old or go new?
