I was looking for some better sounding speaker cable to finish off my system having just upgraded to some cute Sonus Faber Elipsa Auditors (some pics on Gallery section). All my old cables sounded too muddy, aggressive, soggy or bland in my system.
I read somewhere that Sonus Faber speakers use Yter cable inside so I thought I'd borrow some at home. This stuff is super light! A whole bundle of it hardly weighs anything at all.
It was an instant improvement from installation which just grew as the amp warmed up. I have to say that this is biggest upgrade I've heard in my system. Whether its just synergy or the cable is just brilliant stuff I don't know. The sound stage is now way bigger and deeper and I'm able to hear far more detail. I'm hearing stuff I haven't heard before on my favourite familiar albums, vocals are particularly good and realistic.
Suffice to say I bought it very quickly after. It may be expensive but in my system it totally transformed the sound, so value for money really was excellent. I just have to tell myself its part of the speaker system and pray the dog doesn't decide to chew the cable...
