DIY mains cable - twist the cores or not?

Working on something just now where I have four 2.5m stripped cores of 6mm x2 cable.
So 4 runs of doubled up 6mm cores.

Thinking to twist them before tidying them up for installation, seems reasonable?
Lot of forum speak says its the thing to do with power cables, wanted to check here too.

Will be passing 7amps peak, 12V if thats useful info!

Saw a youtube video of a guy using a powerdrill on slow speed to make up cables along the same thinking......might make things a bit easier and consistent?

I've plaited some I made. It uses a lot of extra cable, looks good and should be beneficial.

Yep, I also recommend plaiting as Clive suggests. It also looks tidier and is visually aesthetic.
I know you can plait because I saw what you could do with your legs after a session at Owston :lol:

Forgive my ignorance but, aesthetics aside, why might you consider twisting mains cable? Is it because , with further to travel, tge the mains has more stamina? Or to make it giddy?
Should I do it to the ones in the wall too?
Will it work for washing machines, now I have nice safe MK double sockets?

Twisting the cable should help RFi rejection as the RFi will get confused amongst the twists and won't know which way to turn. :eyebrows: Anyhow it will be a neater job.

Is it a mains cable or 12v psu job?
Either way the supra home made one you finished properly for me is back in my set up between the wall and the balanced mains........doing a sterling job it is too.

Might have to organise something at my place in the next couple of weeks......usual suspects please respond with suitable dates that would suit!

Am up and running but still not running on all cylinders.....but be happy to slave away to make another cake ( aye alright. Lou made it but she can be persuaded with shoe blackmailing to do us another)
