View Full Version : Van Damme kicks ass!

Sometimes in order to see what the hype and fuss is about you have to bite the bullit and take a punt. I have been using some well respected and fairly expensive speaker cables lately from Tellurium Q and Chord Company. However, one set was too short and the other to flippin long so i needed something around 2.5 metres. I am well hacked off with the expensive cable malarky so i give Mark Grant a ring and bought two 2.5 metre length Van Damme 4mm Studio Blue and it does the job perfectly. In fact like their name sake it really kicks ass. It's all about what works aand what doesn't isn't it? Another victory for mark Grant. happy as a pig in sh1T i is. i am now a converted cable sceptic. Do they make a difference? yes they certainly do. Do they make improvements? yes they do. Do they have to cost a bl...y fortune? No, they certainly do not. Whiskey time:respect:
Synergy, my friend synergy! Van Damme cable is pretty good.:)

Totally agree - I just couldn't justify spending £120 odd quid on Chord Odyssey when I really think the 4mm / 6mm Van Damme will be as good - and can be had for about £40.00
Will also buy one of Mark Grants interconnects - Very - very highly rated on AoS. Job done.
All the best, Steve.

I've been using it since 2005
Recently tried some "Fisual S-Flex" ... Its pretty much identical to Van Damme blue and a little bit cheaper.
I been using van damme for years havent even thought of changing it no point it does the job really well, ruddy good cable for peanuts.

I did all my Interconnects & Arm lead in Van Damme. dead good loike..
I found some gay who installs van damme for a living and makes cables with his offcuts and sells them on ebay. Very cheap, very well made and good cable!
If you live somewhere near Kentish Town (I think..) you can hand the cash over to him in person.

I've just bought a pair of Van Damme lcofc ic's, not expecting a miracle, but boy was I wrong!
They are amazing, and at a really silly low price, 0.5 m for less than £15 inc postage!

Nat,
I know orientation matters for some cables, but hadn't realised it mattered so far as the cable maker was concerned:lol:

Something ain't right if a speaker cable, or mains cable for that , cost's twice or three times what your amp or tonearm did ?

My amp cost me about 6 times less than total cost of the cables I am using with it.
I think it all works very nicely! :D

I just read over this thread...
I must apologise for the homophobic overtones of my above post, it was a typo! Guy, "some GUY" !
Hahaha.... Oh dear..
I'll check my ebay emails and see if I can find the blokes ebay ID. Was an exciting experience as it was conducted like a drug deal (turned up in a lowered car by a petrol station - we met up to save postage, give cash). Got some handy XLR to dual phono adapters which I need to present a balanced signal to a pair of amps I have, different phase on each phono. As I say, professionally made with cable restraints and industry standard mesh.

I don't think anybody thought it homophobic - we just assumed that the auto-correct genie was out of his bottle again!
