Just signed up and looking forward to picking up lots of great info.

I am Richard, live in Cheshire and love music & hi-fi. Musical tastes are pretty well entrenched in 70's prog rock (King Crimson, Floyd, Zappa, Genesis, etc.) and jazz/funk/rock (John McLaughlin, Stanley Clarke, Pat Metheny, etc.) and only branches out into a few newer talents (Prince, Jacko, Nickel Creek, Donald Fagen).

I have 2 systems. One is very basic, in the lounge.....

Source: Oppo DV983
Amplifier: SA-S3 TRIPATH Class T TA2021B Amp
DAC: AudioAlchemy DAC-in-a-box
Speakers: Monitor Audio Silver Monitor

....and the 'real' system in my work/play room......

TV: Pioneer LX508
Media player: Popcorn Hour A-200
Music player: Squeezebox Duet (modified)
DAC: Monster DAC (from Lampizator)
Pre Amplifier: Music First Silver
Power Amplifiers: 2 * Lux91 Mono Max
Speakers: Audio Note AN-E/SPe HE
Power: PS Audio PPP

My first area of interest is to find a suitable PSU for the Class T amp and will be posting questions soon!!!!

Hi Richard,

I like a bit of Metheny, Stanley Clarke and Prince. In fact I would go as far as to say that Prince is very undervalued as a writer and artist. I regularly play Disc 1 from Emancipation as the content is superb.

So far as a PS for a T-Amp is concerned, a lot of people (including me) have tweaked a Maplin PSU (nominally 13.8v) to 15v and added some smoothing caps.
