FS: Quad

Hi all,

I have for sale one of my Quad 405 amps.
I've serviced these with new Fischer & Tausche 22,000uf 63v capacitors.
They sound fantastic, great improvement over the very tired Erie 10,000uf ones from 1976.
The only thing done to the boards was to replace the smoothing capacitor which feeds the input opamp, here I've used a quality Panasonic.

I have also fitted modern phono inputs, 4mm banana loudspeaker sockets and a power switch/blue led.

I was going to monoblock these but after the service I find there is no point as the quality and control is enough using a single stereo amp.

I'm looking for £250 inclusive P&P

I've couldn't resist the temptation to upgrade and mono block these, so I 'm going to keep them for awhile.
