Hi Guys

Recently had a trip to York and Leeds on a CD & Vinyl buying trip.
Thought some of you may find the list of shops I found helpful if you visit York or Leeds at some time.
It is not a complete list, only shops I found. I am sure there must be more.

York CD and Vinyl Shops.

Rebound Records 5 Gillygate - Good Selection of Vinyl and CD's mid pricedThe Inkwell 10 Gillygate - Unusual Selection of Vinyl and CD's mid priced
Attic Records 1 Patrick Pool - Hard to find but ok if you like cheaper second hand Vinyl
Oxfam 46 Micklegate - Usual Oxfam fare

Also one stall on the market had some good cd's and vinyl but haggle, don't pay cover price. I got 50% off the total here.

LEEDS CD and Vinyl Shops

Relics 53 New Briggate - Lots of Vinyl, some CD's, Huge bargain section, mid priced otherwise, good selection
Jumbo Records 5-6 St. Johns Centre - Newer Vinyl and CD's, not mainstream
Crash Records 35 Headrow - Smaller selection of Vinyl and CD's but covering a good range, higher end pricing
Tribe 13 Crown Street - Drum N Bass etc, local and newer vinyl
Waxwerks 9 East Parade - House and Techno style Vinyl in a very cool setting with a bar and decks

Ho Well.

Should have realised there would have been something in the archives.
I'd better do a search next time.
At least we know they are still open, for now anyway

Your post is extremely important and upto date so please don't feel insulted in any way. Your post clearly show that of september this year that all the shops you visited are still in business.

Hi Andy

No probs, absolutely no offence taken in the least.
Re-reading my post, it may have been a little terse.
Will update things if they change on my next visit to York or Leeds.

Ive heard on the grapevine that a little place has just opened up in Barnsley of all places. I live about 30 minutes drive away so that might be worth a visit:eyebrows:

Hi Andrew

Don't get over to Barnsley very often, but will have to keep it in mind for when I do.
Drop a note in the thread when you have had chance of a visit there. Always worth while knowing if it is good 'un.
