TT Recomendations ?

Im looking for a DC motor driven table with variable speed that is 'Good Enough' to be a good budget starter table - if you can help me it would be great! THanks!

gumtree also have plenty of techies on, I get most of mine off there

most technics TT's are good enough to use as seen so don't worry too much if they appear a bit battered as over time you can replace almost everything on there to make it sound better

you can't go wrong with an sl1200/1210 as I am sure you already know if you post on aos

Having just listened to my first direct drive TT, I would suggest trying to get one. Ever since I changed from a Garrard 301 to belt drives, I have never been happy with the minute speed variations that seem to be the norm (OK I know the very best probably wouldn't do this).

Good grief, I've just realised that's two changes to my system in the last 25 years - no stamina me.

Hey guys, thanks for the tips - there are a crazy amount of TTs on gumtree - cheaper than ebay, but usually with pickup... not sure you can trust to mail with gumtree, but still...

What do you mean no stamina! Most would count stamina as 'how long between purchases', and Gordon - that would make you the winner!
