Pioneer pl12d

I have a boxed one to sell but need to get the anti skate/bias weight as it is missing.
Can anyone tell me the weight and size if you can.

1 1/2 gramme. doesnt matter about size as long as it weighs the weight

Chelsea ignore me im thinking of another deck. The '12D' is a barrel type lateral balance weight, it's not an anti skate weight..It slides over a kinked pin sticking out the back left hand side of the arm.. Probably 3 grm..tbh ive always disabled these weights..

Thought 1.5g seemed a bit light as it is quite big by the look of pics.

Good little TT the PL-12D. I've had a few, I also used to remove the outrigger weight. That was a well known dodge 30 years ago, apparently it got rid of a resonance of some sort.

Was playing it today through a qed 240sa and then a harmon kardon 430 into celestion 15 xrs as well as castle pembrokes.
Sounded much better than i expected it to.

Am I really this old?? Oh yes indeedy... I cut my teeth of cartridge mounting as a Saturday boy by doing most of the PL12D/M75-ED combinations we used to sell, and on one Watford shop that was more than a dozen in the showroom and another dozen - per Saturday - in the box-shifting 'warehouse....' later, I graduated to Dual 504's and 505's with VMS20's/FF15e's and we sold loads of these too...

The outrigger 'lateral balance weight' added secondary resonances and upset stability with this arm and was best removed at the time. Don't worry about it at all. Rega with the R200 in Planar 3 guise anyway, used some very tight sleeving around the weight shaft, all but jamming the weight on the outer end.

Best cartridge today for a PL12D is probably an AT95e, or a 2M Red (or 510mk2 if Wm Thakker still have them).

The part no is KLA-438C and was held on the bar by a M4-5 set screw. You never know Pioneer may still be able to supply the part ....... But don't hold your breath.

Last I was told, 101 St Albans Rd was empty and had been for some years since Acoustic Arts pulled out of mainstream retail.

Aah yes, but before Jim Dovie of Acoustic Arts there was KJ Leisuresound at 101 St Albans Road and a few doors up you had and still have Richer Sounds. There was also a HiFi store in the Harlequin bit they closed down about 3-4 yrs ago, can't remember the name.

I had an interview as a salesman at the shop that was Acoustic Arts before it had that name back in the seventies (Can't remamber what they were called then. Was it KJ's?). I remember the chap I had the interview with, his name was Jim Dovie. I didn't get the job, did me favour really, I went on to better things. They didn't know what they'd missed, I would have done 'em proud.
