That's engine wizard Ted Eaton on the left. The one on the right working on the car is Andy Kohler, who splits his time between building cars, restoring vintage guitars and playing in a band (they release their albums on vinyl).

This '32 Ford 3 window coupe belonging to my friend Keith Cornell ran 188 and change with a Ted Eaton-built Ford Y block (a phenomenal achievement for an '50s engine)...

The '32 Ford 3 window coupe on the left was built for racer Tom McIntyre. It runs a De Soto Hemi and has a lot of interesting details such as a full belly pan, ali' interior, offset dash panel etc. It has the heaviest roof chop yet on a Rolling Bones-built hot rod. Tom has been in the auto industry since the '60s (he invented locking hood pins for a school project then sold the idea to Shelby and General Motors)and it takes a lot to spark his interest these days but he loves his new car. It was an old race car many years ago. For its maiden run he drove it from upstate NY to Bonneville, then on to the Monterey Historic Races at Laguna Seca where he was competing, driving a couple of amazing cars from his collection, the Mickey Thompson Z06 Lightweight '63 Sting Ray and the Mark Donohue Sunoco/Penske '68 Camaro.

Peter's new book on Bonneville is just about ready and he had a proof on view - it was well worth the wait - buy it!

Wow, very nice!
