Vibrapods and equipment isolation

Hi, I'm thinking of trying vibrapods under my hifi equipment - cd player, amp and turntable external power supply. Are they any good ?

I've started to use them and tried them under my lp12 (using the sandwich method on the vibrapods website) and under my Eastetn electric Minimax phononstage. I think they are great and now have the pods and cones under the Minimax (lp12 has a mana soundframe). Buoy do need to experiment a bit- pods only under the lp12 was great, pods and cones made the bass to heavy the sound to analytical/dry. But under the Minimax the pods and cones work perfectly.

I bought mine from analogue seduction (who also sell them on amazon). Their view was that they were the best isolation devices at the price- worth speaking to them to get the right number and load capability before buying.

I've got some.

I suffered from the usual initial "wow" factor of some new accessories -- but I took them away after a while and away they will stay!
Under my speakers, they do give a different sound, that was initially a bit more relaxed and 'musical', but after a while I started wondering why my system had lost a bit of sparkle and musical pizzaz.

I usually find that squishy isolation things give a subtley (or sometimes not so subtle) squishy sound. :scratch:

I prefer solid blocks / cones / spikes for that solid blocky-coney-spikey sort of sound. :thumbsup:

Ive removed the springy feet from my TT, as i cannot abide bonce in any way on my TT's, i need to be able to fit some king of Shock immune foot onto a platform. Any recommendations something like Deflex Focul pods or summert!

I just tried vibrapods and cons under my Pro-ject debut carbon:

In keeping with the above cones and vibrapods enhanced and tightened bass noticeable but killed voices

Vibropods only under turntable and granite slab gives a great tightening of sound

I use Something Solid Dissipating Feet under all my electronics, haven't tried them under my LP12 yet.
I did try a set of Vibropods under my Lenco but didn't like what it did I felt it softened the sound, much preferred it with the Dissipating feet in place.

Hi have vibrapods under a turntable shelf and the turntable sits on its own anti vibration cones. They have definitely made an improvement to my set up but this may be because of the particular materials I use and the design of my turntable which is high mass.
I think they are a worthwhile addition and seem to drain vibration from the support that I use which is a composite laminate.

I am currently using nordost AC sort cones under my cdp and amp and must say they work well.
Better focus and soundstage with space and air between instruments and mixing additions such as reverb and delay.Also more low level detail with blacker background.
