A series of photographs taken at Skidbrooke Church in Lincolnshire which is closely approaching ruin. At the moment it still has its roof but I don't think it will be long before it is completely trashed. The images were taken during August 2013 using a Pentax 645 and Kodak T-Max 100 film which was processed in FX39 developer.

Brings to mind Dr Who and the Daemons. Anybody remember that series...?

Passed through a village in Lincolnshire years ago called 'Mumby', always wanted to live there..

Lovely photos of a really sad sight Shaun. Here's hoping this beautiful old building can be saved.

Living in Lincs ourselves it's proved itself to be a county chock-full of photographic opportunities - the skies can be particularly amazing. :)

I grew up in Grimsby/Cleethorpes and only moved away for seven years during 2005/2012 but the one thing that amazes people who visit from away are the size of our skies ! Everyone comments with the usual "Massive skies" kind of statement. I love the flatlands of Lincolnshire especially close to the coast and the beaches which just stretch for miles and miles. It is so inspiring from a photography/art perspective.

Superb pics (as usual), Shaun! Ever thought of photographing the area at dusk, just before daylight fades? I think that'd make for some rather eerie and atmospheric shots! :eyebrows:

Marco.

P.S I know the Dr Who series you mentioned - one of my favs, from a time when Dr Who was Dr who!!

Marco, I'd rather not be there after the sun goes down as this church is reputed to be very heavily haunted and does have a rather sensitive atmosphere to it. I love the place but I don't want to be there very often just in case the rumours are true.

Lol... That's where you and I differ - I'd love to experience something like that! :eyebrows:
