Yep, MP3, but ....
Here's a mono set of the complete Beethoven (32) piano sonatas from the 1950s played by Wilhelm Kempff for £3.99.
Superb performances and pretty decent mono sound - but I doubt it loses much, if anything, in MP3 format.

And some utterly wonderful Bruckner symphonies in old Soviet Style Stereo, this doesn't lose much in MP3, either. :)
Symphonies 0, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 & 9 conducted by the marvellous Gennadi Rozhdestvensky.
Oh, that Russkie brass in Bruckner! :eek: You ain't heard it like this before! :nono: :D
The very best 0 (Nullte) I have heard - Rozhdestvensky easily places it among the great Bruckner symphonies, imho.
£7.49 for the lot. :)
