Wanna check the accuracy of your turntable speed? You will need:

An android phone;
A printer;
Scissors.

A strobe can be downloaded from Google Play. Check out https://play.google.com/store/apps?hl=en and type 'strobe light' in the search box. I picked one called Strobily, but other may be better. It works by controlling the Flash of your mobile phones camera. If your phone does not have a flash then some apps simply use the screen.

Then get a protractor that includes a circle of marks for the strobe light to read. Vinyl Engine is a good place to look: http://www.vinylengine.com/cartridge-alignment-protractors.shtml
Print the protractor on the thickest paper or card your printer can handle. Check the measurements - typically an 'A' to 'A' distance - to ensure that the protractor is accurate. Cut out the protractor and plonk it on your turntable. There will be a bit of set up to do with the strobe, but you are then ready to go. Switch on the turntable and the stroboscope and hold it fairly close to the turntable. The thing works in much the same way as the stobe on a Technics table.
