Just seen this listed on Diverse Vinyl. Both Stereo and Mono versions 'remastered in the studio' by John Astley. However this suggests not cut directly from the original tapes and probably has undergone some tweaking in the digital domain. It's on the Repertoire label.

I can't say im happy about the distressed look cover i have read about, on that basis i won't be buying it :(

If you aren't hell bent on Mono you can still get the Big Beat vinyl. They used a scan of an original with the Stereo sticker attached. Why replicate a distressed cover? They have been doing this on the Nick Drake deluxe outer boxes but for some reason are using worn US copies rather than a UK original? The actual record sleeve is how it should be.

Yes as far as I can tell. They also released it on CD. I also have a Japanese reissue on Imperial Records that has slightly better sound and a more authentic cover repro. Don't know how ligit the licencing is on this?

It seems to have a release date now of November 11th! Anyhoots i put a pre-order in for both the Stereo & Mono issues

I have the Mono on order. The Big Beat was mastered by Ray Staff which should make it hard to beat unless they have a better source. I'm assuming Hi-res digital copy as source until it can be proved otherwise.
