Hi Andre

You are too kind, I am quite disappointed in the way many turned out, not sure what's up but I suspect I had the camera set wrongly :(

Yes you recall right that was Me sitting just outside a Broch near Dunrobin Castle up past Inverness. I like to go to Scotland at least once a year - I would love to live in Scotland :)

Yup Neil , I wouldn't want to live anywhere else . Just love the horizontal rain  You'll have to plan a visit when the Scottish mafia are having a get together . You ( and any other AOS member ) will be more than welcome . Great bunch of guys up here . Gary ( Gazjam ) is coming over to mine today . The last time he visited he was able to substantially improve the sound of my server using some of his magic . Scotch pie and beans on the menu for lunch.:) Have a great holiday mate  Great photos BTW .

What camera are you using Neil and on what settings?

Even some of the best pix look a bit on the soft side (I don't mean the macro stuff where the camera struggled to focus) so you could look at increasing the sharpening settings if there are any on the camera. If not, you could try sharpening in iphoto / photoshop or something like that ...

Some of the light conditions were pretty challenging - trees or foliage in shade, shots with burnt out sky with no detail - any camera can struggle to make these look good ... Also, might be worth checking you have it set to highest resolution / quality settings as some of them looked quite compressed.

Thanks - I will have a route about the settings.
