The link above describes them much better than any clumsy gobbledegook I could come out with, so I won't embarrass myself trying!
When I bought these last year they had an odd compliment of valves with unknown hours on them, since then they've had a complete re-valve and now wear NOS Mullard CV4024's, current production Mullard EL34, and Psvane 211-T valves. All bought as matched quads. I don't obsessively keep count of the hours but I'm confident in saying they've all got way less than a couple of hundred hours on them, so the majority of their life is still ahead of them...
These are wonderful amp's that are several leagues above much of the gear from China, they're rated at a "proper" 240V and say "Made in USA" on the back for a start! They sounded fantastic between my Croft 25R and Yamaha NS-1000's, but the arrival of some massive American electrostatics means I need to go over to the "dark side" and raise funds for the rather menacing solid state amp hulking in my front room.
Do yourself a favour, pop these between a quality pre-amp and some revealing loudspeakers and enjoy! :eek:
Including the cost of the re-valve these owe me a little over twenty three hundred quid.... Asking £1950 ono collected.
I do have the boxes for them so technically they *could* be shipped, but it would be expensive and I wouldn't recommend it. I will only do this if the buyer accepts all responsibility and pays all costs. The amps would come in two large boxes, 670x445x460mm @ 32Kg each and the valves would also need a large box as the 211's come in a couple of quite big "cutlery box" style presentation cases.
