Obviously, this is a late night thread.

I'm just here to keep annoying you lot and finish putting the sound system back together as I disassembled a lot of it earlier. Not to mention, I'm chilling out with a beer or two!

What's your excuse?

(I bet Bev's still up and about, but she's been quiet lately)

I never sleep properly at night either. It's daft, I doze off easily enough during the day (for about half an hour), especially if I've had a meal!

I'm reclaiming my Sunday, as I spent the best bit of it wrestling with DIY and gardening nonsense in a garden two & a half hours drive away!
Bottle of wine, belly full of beautiful homemade curry (the fourth curry this week!), some good music and an AoS catch-up session.

Gardening? I avoid it like the plague.

I just cut the hedge and mow the grass. If anybody here wants anything fancier they deal with it themselves!

It's the forum browsing, deffo. Apart from the new kit stuff, you're always at risk of reading some knobhead spouting ludicrous opinions, and, even if you don't respond, you end up seething and raising the old blood pressure.

Me, I get to bed around midnight and sleep through till 7am, because I retain a Zen-like detachment from forum gibberish.

Catching up on some AoS stuff, listening to some Muddy Waters on my newly revitalised little Genexxa speakers (still smelling of solder from earlier this evening!). So am I, do tell... ;)

Are now this will be telling........:)

I am now listening to a Temple Audio Bantam amplifier in my system

It is sooooo tiny, but the odd thing is I would describe it as at least 95% of my best tube amplifier which would now cost approximately £2,500 new

I think anyone who hasn't listened to the absolute BEST of the BEST would be mighty impressed with this wee little amp

Whether I think that extra 5% is worth around £800 (if I sold my Oto on) I am just not sure at the moment :scratch:

It's such a little cutie...

I'll keep you posted ;)

Dave what new bit of kit are you getting today???? It's such fun getting new stuff :eek:

Bid on one earlier and got beaten by £1.

A couple on there with 9 day listings and "collection only". Tossers. I have a busted foot NOW not in 10+ days time and fer foock's sake it's small and light so all they have to do is bung it in a carrier bag and I would be happy to send a courier to collect. I'm sitting up in bed in the spare room here reading a book on the laptop. The back is bad tonight and stops me sleeping. I keep groaning and moving about trying to get comfortable and it just keeps Ronnie awake too. She has trouble enough getting off to sleep without me adding to her problem.

Every now and again I take a break from the book and browse the net a bit. This site and an American woodturning site are my standard visits.

Hopefully, the pain will subside enough to allow me some sleep.
