Will be moving house on the first week of Sept. But due to a very limited space (3.5 x 4m) in the new house, I may need to downsize my speakers (Focal Electra 1028be) in champagne colour and only 18 mos. since bought them at Audio-T Swansea branch. Anyone interested just PM me. BTW a brand new pair now cost £5300.

please tell me what sought of price, you are looking for, as i have seen that for some reason, the focal speakers do not seem to hold there price to well.as i have a pair of the focal 816 wse, and was surprised at how little a pair of £1500 are going for.

It makes me wonder why you are considering parting with them. They don't take up a large amount of floor space do they?

They look terrific

The house they'll be moving to is only 3.5x3.5m which I've just measured today. If I have no issues with room placement I won't part with them for they just sound sublime with the rest of my kit!

How can anyone gauge whether or not they have the funds to buy these unless you say how much you would accept. Bizarre thread IMO.

Fully agreed.

I've been watching these for a few days now hoping for a price to emerge, I don't need or want to get involved in this & that negotiations.

For goodness sake man list a price & get potential buyers interested.

Well for starters I recon they will be worth little more than half retail. Saw a dealer selling ex dem on Ebay for £2800.

Looking at around £3.5k for them as they are in near mint condition. That would be a saving of £1.8k from new.

Do you have the original receipt & is the 5 yr warranty transferrable ?

Also a few dealers are doing these speakers ex-dem with warranty for less, are you prepared to drop to sub £3000 ?

I've now found a brand new pair online via a Focal dealer for an excellent price so interest withdrawn.

I'm willing to swap with standmounts due to limited space in new house.

Are you sure that stand mounts will take up less room ?

I have a pair of Mordunt Short floor stand speakers that take up less room than JBL L1's on Sound organization stands ,
Your speakers look to be a sensible size , If they were mine and I had owned them from new I would stick with them and not risk second / 3rd hand units in p/x

Up to you though , Think carefully ;)

I understand your point..but it's not only about footprints. My concern is that they may overwhelm the 3.5x3.5m room.
Thanks for your input.

Wouldn't it be sensible to wait and see?
