Have had that this album on Vinyl for a while and wasn't sure about it. Got it recently on CD and wow it is pretty impressive... I must go back and listen to it on Vinyl again!!!

Still probably her best album Al, certainly her most famous... My mother-in-law is a fan of this album which makes me think I should not like it on principle :lol: :laugh:

To the Limit is another great Joan Armatrading album as is Me Myself I and Show Some Emotion. Last November we (the missus) saw Joan at the Lighthouse in Poole. The gig was excellent and the house was full.

One of my all time fave artists. :)

And

a 12" single with 3 tracks from the album Secret Secrets

Plus another 31 LP's :doh::D

I've seen her several times over the years and she always performs well. Funnily enough, I just posted an album I was playing on Spinning Today... yesterday.

I agree with those who think her self-titled album has never been beaten. However, my second favourite album is one that rarely gets mentioned. It has a wonderful set of songs and is also very well recorded.
