Hi my name is Barry and played about with Hi-fi equipment for about 40 years on and off but this is only one of my interests, I should say that my main interests is Black American soul music from late 60's to mid 80's . I have not had a Turntable up and running for a few years but I am interested in pimping up the techie 1200 so that i can digitize my vinyl for the sake of prosperity. Currently I am playing various sample rate files from my apple mac pro via Weiss Dac2 through lyngdorf TDAI 2200 and Sonus Faber minima amators and lyngdorf Bass stereo speakers.
I am interested in knowing the benefits of the different power supplies and prices especially the Paul hynes SR7 , the upgraded Funk firm original technics arm, Jelco 750E, is there a recommended list of upgrades and reviews ??. I'm sure I have loads to learn and I am impressed by some of the DIY projects although they usually go straight over my head.

Cheers to all

Barry

Hi Barry,
Welcome to AoS.
There is lots of support for analogue replay here - I reckon we can have you running your turntable for the long term enjoyment of your record collection rather than a temporary exercise in archiving.
Thanks for the great introductory post.

Cheers
